Lessons to learn from Visions5

Having picked up Visions last minute I really don't have any idea what I have gotten myself into. So my first objective for learning to is truly figure out what the Visions film festival is all about and get a grasp on how to accurately explain to others what I am now a part of.

Next I want to better understand all aspects of film festivals, but mostly this film festival. I know I am only part of one department but I hope that by talking with my fellow classmates I can gain an understanding about what is going in in every department.

Another goal for learning this year is to develop relationships. I want to develop relationships within the class because I will be working on this project for the next year, but also I want to develop relationships with the film makers we fly in. I think making connections and bonds with people is always a good idea because nobody is sure where they will end up or if they will need a helping hand or friend along the way.

My last goal for Visions is to be an active member of my department and to try and excel in every task that I do. I know that Visions is a big undertaking and so I don't ever want to be the one team member who drops the ball.

I think that this is a lot of pressure to put on myself and Visions but I know that it can all be achieved. I know the next year of Visions will be one to remember!
